This special Couples workshop spans three days and unpacks the components of a healthy relationship with your intimate partner and Compassionate Communication's contribution as a practical communication and awareness practice for deeper and stronger connection.
The weekend is a retreat from the everyday, inviting couples to devote a weekend to their relationship - from Friday to Sunday (and beyond as wanted). Whether you attend the Retreat as Byron Bay locals or visit from elsewhere, you can still enjoy the flavour of a "weekend away together" with tips to help you continue connecting outside the workshop.
Morning and afternoon tea are provided and lunch is a shared contribution from everyone. Lunch in past retreats has been a delightful communal gathering on the deck overlooking the Byron Bay coastline and hinterland.
The workshop hours create a space for reflection and learning as well as time for couples to connect together independently and continue nourishing their relationship in ways discussed in the workshop. Included is a private follow up session via zoom for each couple after you have returned to your respective homes. Paulette provides valuable support to assist couples to integrate their new skills and continue learning and application in their daily lives.
Each couple is offered an optional discounted package of ongoing support to resolve and heal from past wounds, and build stronger, trusting connections over the months following the weekend retreat.
This intimate weekend with four other couples delving into qualities to create a lasting, loving intimate relationship may be the very thing your relationship needs.
Located at sensational Coorabell, you can attend the workshop overlooking Byron Bay and the sweeping coastline, hear rainforest birds, and later visit the Crystal Castle, Minyon Falls and famous surfing beaches all within easy driving distance.
Nourish yourself AND your relationship - returning home refreshed, reconnected and revitalised in body, mind, soul and relationship.
Couples Non-residential Retreat
"All my expectations were met through participating in this course. I am confident that I will be able to communicate with others, my partner, family and friends in a more loving , compassionate and empathic way. Learning this process has unblocked a blockage in my life that has hindered my growth and my ability to have healthy and fulfilling relationships. Paulette has been wonderful throughout the two days. An accomplished teacher, she made me feel at ease, safe and always positive and caring. I would recommend any person to partake in this training for a fulfilling and greater understanding of human communication, love and compassion." John P Murwillumbah
Relationships can get rather serious - following is a lighter look at intimate relating by the Flight Of The Conchords, a NZ comedy duo
Feedback: "Prior to your workshop, Paulette, I had been feeling pretty discouraged. We've been married 38 years and I've found all but the first six years very challenging. We've been going to fortnightly marriage counselling for the last 4 years with someone who understands Asperger's, but I felt frustrated that she seemed to make a lot of excuses for Perter's behaviours. He enjoyed going to her but I couldn't see many changes in our relationship. At $180 an hour with no medical rebate and seemingly little progress, I suggested we have a break and concentrate on the NVC material you covered with us instead. At last, although he has his strong perspectives on things, with a fair bit of prompting and encouragement from me, he is beginning to associate a name of a feeling with body sensations, and guesses a feeling for himself, and even for my daughter and me! It has been such a breakthrough. It has been worth waiting for. Of course, there are many years of habitual patterns in our interactions to work through but I think we're heading in a positive direction at last. So thanks for your part in that, and your commitment to sharing NVC and being so calm, caring and encouraging in your workshop. I feel so inspired by people like you who model compassion and compassionate communication. It is truly a life-enriching gift that you share with the world. It encourages me to be the change I want to see in the world. Thanks!" Liz W. South west Queensland
